Photographing Festivals, Trashigang Tsechu | Bhutan
The Trashigang Tsechu Festival is a feast for the senses, with vibrant colors, intricate details, and beautiful landscapes that create a stunning backdrop for photography. As a travel photographer, I was drawn to the festival for its unique cultural significance and the incredible photo opportunities it presents. For this trip, I decided to use the Fujifilm GFX 100s medium format camera, which allowed me to capture incredibly detailed images with incredible dynamic range. One of the most striking things about the festival was the intricate costumes worn by the performers. It was a challenge to capture the essence of these costumes and their details, but I found that the GFX 100s performed admirably in capturing every last detail.
Photographing the Virgen del Carmen Festival in Paucartambo | Perú
Photographer Daniel Korzeniewski traveled to Paucartambo in the southern Peruvian Sierra to capture the Virgen del Carmen Festival. The festival is a religious celebration that features traditional music, dance performances, and religious ceremonies for several days. The festival is known for its elaborate costumes and masks worn by participants during the parades. The costumes and masks are a visual feast, showcasing the region's rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions. Daniel had a blast photographing and documenting this unique tradition with his Fuji GFX 100s and GF lenses.
